i've come to realize that sometimes, doing the right thing... isn't doing the right thing. Follow your heart- even if it breaks in the end, at least you know you gave it your all.
"It’s not the person you are with but the person you become when you are with that person. Certain people bring out your best self. That’s who you need to find. A person who brings out your best self."
"You know that feeling of waiting for someone. I mean really waiting for someone - standing in front of a restaurant in the cold and having hundreds of people pass you on the sidewalk. And you don’t want to do anything else, because you’re afraid you might miss something - that somehow if you don’t spot him right away, he’ll walk right by. So you stand there and you don’t do anything except think about how you’re standing there. Occasionally you might look at your watch, or check your cell phone to see if it’s accidentally on silent, even though you already checked for that a minute ago. That’s what this is starting to feel like."
"I had always been in love with him. I counted the lashes of each closed eye. He had been my almost, my might have been, and I did not want to leave him." -The Lovely Bones
"In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on."
— Robert Frost
"It's amazing, some people, they just say these small little things, one sentence and it changes the way you feel about them in an instant. Small little words that can hurt you so much or make you fall deeply in love forever. It changes everything, nothing between you is ever really the same again, even if they don't know it."
"You know that place between sleeping and awake, that place where you can still remember dreaming? That’s where I’ll always think of you."
— J.M. Barrie
"I like to see people reunited, I like to see people run to each other, I like the kissing and the crying, I like the impatience, the stories that the mouth can’t tell fast enough, the ears that aren’t big enough, the eyes that can’t take in all of the change, I like the hugging, the bringing together, the end of missing someone."
— Jonathan Safran
"If we weren’t meant to give things another try, our paths and thoughts would not keep crossing, and we would not keep tripping over our feelings for each other."
"You never lose by loving. You always lose by holding back."
— Barbara De Angelis
